PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping insulator capable of preventing a bending stress from being applied to an injector.SOLUTION: A vibration damping insulator 30 is an annular vibration damping insulator 30 provided in an outer circumference of a cylindrical housing of an injector 11 and interposed between an outer circumferential surface of the housing and an injector mounting hole 15 provided in a cylinder head 12. Furthermore, the vibration damping insulator 30 includes: a vibration damping member 31 including an elastic body; a tolerance ring 33 including a slope; and a plate 32 clamping the vibration damping member 31 including the elastic body and the tolerance ring 33 including the slope while layering them in the direction of inserting the cylinder head 12 of the injector 11 into the injector mounting hole 15. Furthermore, between the plate 32 of the vibration damping insulator 30 and the cylinder head 12, a metal plate 50 is provided.
