PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently suppress temperature rise of a light emitting element while suppressing a warp of a light guide unit.SOLUTION: A plurality of LEDs 204 are mounted on a metal planar member 205, and thus heat from the plurality of LEDs 204 is diffused to the metal planar member 205. That is, the planar member 205 functions as a heat sink, and thereby temperature rise of the plurality of LEDs 204 is suppressed efficiently. A light guide 208 is fixed to the planar member 205 in such a manner that an opposing surface of the light guide 208 and an opposing surface of the planar member 205 are parallel to each other. Accordingly, a warp of the light guide 208 is suppressed. As a warp of the light guide 208 is suppressed, a desired distance between the light guide 208 and a document can be maintained, and hence a fog or shininess hardly occurs on an image read from a document. |
