Inertial thickener comprises housing with filter arranged therein, inlet pipe, helical nozzle and filtrate and thickened discharge pipes. Multistart conical filter is composed of sections assembled of perforated equilateral triangles and perforated isosceles triangles connected in periphery in turns and interconnected by their free sides. Sides of said perforated equilateral triangles and perforated isosceles triangles are equal while base of isosceles triangles are larger than their sides.
