FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: cutting plate comprises body with seat for cutting element with major and minor cutting edges to be rigidly secured thereat, composed of straight circular cylinder sector. Note here that said body is confined by flat polygonal top and bottom end surfaces and side surface arranged there between. Cutting element seat is arranged on the side of top side surface. To expand cutting performances, cutting element has side thrust surface opposed to cylindrical surface to cross its flat side surfaces perpendicular to bisector of angle there between to interact with thrust wall made in body seat. Note here that said top and bottom surfaces are shaped to rectangles or parallelograms. Note also that said bisector between flat side surfaces of cutting element after clamping in body seat is located at 60°-90° to body bottom end surface.
