A platform reaper to be used together with an agricultural grain harvester comprises several sections of the reaper. One or several sections of the reaper comprise or comprise a cutter bar assembly, which can move in the up-down directions in a localized manner. A discontinuous tape has the front edge. Each of several tape guides has the rear edge with the upper surface and lower surface. Each of the lower surfaces partially lies on the front edge of the discontinuous tape. Neighbouring guiding tapes have an overlapping with a smooth upper transition and (or) a smooth lower transition on the overlapping. On the smooth upper transition there is no discontinuous change, passing above the adjacent upper surfaces, and on the smooth lower transition there is no discontinuous change, passing above the adjacent lower surfaces. |
