PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a calculation amount when combining another image with a combining target area existing in each of frames of a dynamic image.SOLUTION: A method for processing an image includes the steps of: calculating a difference value of a boundary corresponding to a periphery of a combining target area existing in each of continuous two frames in a dynamic image; creating a difference image in which a secondary differential value of an area inside the boundary becomes zero while a pixel value of the boundary is maintained at the calculated difference value of the boundary by repeating calculation using a Poisson equation; obtaining an image in which the difference image is added to a combining result image combined in the combining target area in a previous frame as the combining result image with respect to a present frame; and replacing the obtained combining result image with respect to the present frame with an image of the combining target area in the present frame. Each of the steps above is performed for each of the frames in the dynamic image.
