SURGICAL STAPLING APPARATUS A surgical stapling apparatus (10), comprising: a tool assembly (17) having a cartridge assembly (18) and an anvil assembly (20) arranged for clamping tissue therebetween, a surgical buttress releasably secured to a tissue contacting surface of at least one of the anvil assembly (20) and the cartridge assembly (18), the surgical buttress being secured to the at least one of the anvil assembly (20) and the cartridge assembly (18) by at least one anchor; a drive assembly (50) supported in the tool assembly (17) and including a knife blade (66); and an additional knife blade (94) for cutting the at least one anchor and freeing the surgical buttress. |
