HOLLOW POLYMER PARTICLE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a hollow polymer fine particle is provided to be able to reduce the production of concave fine particles with a low hollow rate, and to increase the production of fine particles with a high hollow rate when hollowing the fine particles by evaporating and removing an organic solvent from non-expandable polymer fine particles containing the organic solvent. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of hollow polymer fine particles is manufactured by emulsifying and dispersing a mixture including the polymerizable monomer for forming the outer shell of polymer fine particles and an organic solvent in the water medium; forming polymer fine particles containing the organic solvent by suspension polymerization of the polymerizable monomer under the presence of a polymerization initiator; and manufacturing hollow polymer fine particles by evaporating the organic solvent contained in the polymer fine particles and removing the solvent with passing through the outer shell of the fine particles. The process of hollowing the fine particles by evaporating and removing the organic solvent contained in the polymer fine particles is performed in the state that the polymer fine particles are dispersed in the water medium.
