PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus for improving the convenience of a user, in an imaging apparatus capable of changing an angle of view of an imaged image stepwise.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus (100) includes a zoom lens (112), an operation part (171) accepting operation for changing the variable power rate of the zoom lens, an imaging part (150) generating image data on the basis of a subject image formed through the zoom lens, a drive part (113) moving the zoom lens to a predetermined stop position stepwise, according to the operation accepted by the operation part, and a control part (153) controlling the drive part. The control part changes the stop position of the zoom lens in each stage according to the size of a region so that a conversion focal length in the stop position of the zoom lens in each stage is the same regardless of the size of a region (202) where the image data is generated in the imaging part. The conversion focal length is the focal length of the zoom lens obtained by converting the actual focal length of the zoom lens on the basis of a predetermined reference. |
