PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing PAU zeolite which is capable of decreasing the environmental load as much as possible without using a structure directing agent as much as possible.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing PAU zeolite comprises: steps of (1) mixing a silica source, an alumina source, an alkali source and water so that they constitute a reaction mixture having a composition represented by a particular molar ratio; (2) adding 0.1-20 wt.% of the PAU zeolite, as a seed crystal, in which the SiO/AlOratio is 4-15, of which the average particle size is 100 nm or more and which does not contain an organic compound, based on the amount of the silica component in the reaction mixture, to the reaction mixture; and (3) heating the reaction mixture to which the seed crystal is added at 80-200°C under a closed condition. |
