PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flatten a base layer made of white ink.SOLUTION: A printing apparatus includes: a head that ejects first white ink and second white ink by switching ejection of the first white ink and ejection of the second white ink; a control part that controls the head so that the second white ink is ejected on the first white ink after the first white ink has been landed on a medium by ejecting the first white ink, wherein a surface tension of the second white ink is smaller that of the first white ink.
