PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition a therapeutically effective amount of which can be delivered when administered as per the instructions, while it can reduce significantly the possibility of inappropriate administration or drug use.SOLUTION: Provided is an abuse-controlling pharmaceutical composition developed to reduce the possibility of an inappropriate administration of a drug (especially, a drug like opioid). In a desirable example, the drug is modified to increase its lipophilicity. In another desirable example, the modified drug is dispersed uniformly in a fine particle consisting of either a slowly water-soluble substance or a water-insoluble substance. In some examples, a drug-containing fine particle or a drug particle is coated with one or more coating layers, wherein at least one coating is water-insoluble and desirably insoluble in organic solvent, but can be broken down by an enzyme present in the human gastrointestinal duct. |
