PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine starting device capable of controlling the complication of a design.SOLUTION: An engine starting device includes a resistor 23 disposed in series between a starter motor 21 and a battery 22, a bypass circuit 24a disposed in parallel to the resistor 23, and a shift means 24b that opens and closes the bypass circuit 24a, in which the shift means 24b opens the bypass circuit 24a until an engine gets over a first bottom dead center immediately after the engine starts and closes the bypass circuit 24a after the engine gets over the bottom dead center. |
