PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: in a conventional imaging device including a plurality of microlenses having the same shape, and the plurality of microlenses and a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements having the same arrangement relations, a part of the photoelectric conversion element may not be able to obtain the amount of light sufficient enough for creating a parallax image.SOLUTION: In an imaging element, at least one of the shapes and the arrangements of a first microlens and a second microlens are different from each other; the first microlens and an opening of a first opening mask are positioned so as to guide a light beam from a first sub-area in a cross-sectional area of incident light to a first photoelectric conversion element; and the second microlens and an opening of a second opening mask are positioned so as to guide a light beam from the first sub-area, or a second sub-area in a cross-sectional area different from the first sub-area to a second photoelectric conversion element. |
