PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic steering system capable of reducing piping resistance, and to provide a forklift provided with the same.SOLUTION: A hydraulic steering system 1A includes a steering wheel 2 provided at a front part of a vehicle body; a steering-wheel shaft 3 coupled with the steering wheel 2 so as to rotate with the steering wheel 2; a steering cylinder 5 provided at a rear part of the vehicle body to steer rear wheels 11; and a steering valve 4 that supplies oil discharged from a pump 7 provided at the rear part of the vehicle body to the steering cylinder 5 according to a rotation amount of the steering wheel 2. The steering valve 4 is provided at the rear part of the vehicle body and coupled with the steering-wheel shaft 3 via a mechanical transmission mechanism 9 that transmits the rotation amount. |
