PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy foil for a secondary battery electrode, excellent in ultrasonic welding properties and adhesion with an active material layer.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is provided an aluminum alloy foil for a secondary battery electrode which has a thickness of 5-30 μm, a thickness of an oxide film formed on a surface thereof of 1.0 nm or more and 10.0 nm or less, and an amount of an oil component contained in the surface of 0.65 mg/mor more, while the amount of an oil component [C (mg/m)] with respect to the thickness of an oxide film [t (nm)] falls in the range satisfying the following expressions (1) and (2).
