<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a handrail for a bathtub, the handrail being of a type in which a pressing plate is pressed against a bathtub sidewall by rotating a knob, wherein the handrail is configured in such a manner that the position of the knob does not change even if the pressing plate is moved forward and backward by screw threads and that the pressing force of the pressing plate is controlled so as not to be greater than or equal to a predetermined value. A handrail for a bathtub, the handrail being of a type in which a pressing plate is pressed against a bathtub sidewall by rotating a knob, wherein the handrail is configured in such a manner that a chamber (hollow cavity) for receiving a bolt shaft protruding from a body frame is provided within the knob and that a torque transmission mechanism is provided in a torque transmission path from the knob to a nut, the torque transmission mechanism being configured in such a manner that, when torque to be transmitted is lower than a predetermined value, the torque transmission mechanism transmits the torque and, when the torque to be transmitted has the predetermined value, the torque transmission mechanism blocks the transmission of the torque.</p> |
