PURPOSE: A method for fixing an image in an electro-photographic printer is provided to reduce consumption of unnecessary energy and improve printing speed. CONSTITUTION: A method for fixing an image in an electro-photographic printer heats a paper onto which an image is transferred to fix the transferred image onto the paper. The image fixing method includes a step(S7) of reading a rate of occupation of the transferred image in the paper to grade the occupation rate, a step(S8) of setting the quantity of heat used for fixing the image according to the grade, and a step(S9) of passing the paper through a fixing unit having a heater according to the set quantity of heat to fix the image onto the paper.
