PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily update a computer program without depending on an OS or a platform of an apparatus.SOLUTION: A remote management apparatus 4 determines an update program to be transmitted to a multifunction machine 2 or a scanner apparatus 3 on the basis of apparatus information. The multifunction machine 2 or the scanner apparatus 3 determines whether a computer program can be updated or not on the basis of the apparatus information and the update program, and when it is determined that the computer program can be updated, determines an updating method of the computer program on the basis of the apparatus information and the update program, and updates the computer program by using the update program in accordance with the determined updating method. Since it is unnecessary to change contents of operation according to an OS or a platform of the apparatus, the computer program can be easily updated without depending on the OS or the platform of the apparatus. |
