The feeder has a material inlet arranged at an upper side of a cell wheel housing (2) and for feeding dosing chambers (3) with a material (8) i.e. chromium niobium steel. An intake port (11) and an exhaust port (12) are arranged at the cell wheel housing in a bottom portion of front ends (9, 10) such that the material is delivered from the dosing chambers by an airflow (13). An air chamber (14) is arranged in connection to a dosing chamber base (4) such that the air chamber passes the airflow. The air chamber is tapered from the intake port to the exhaust port.
