<p>A wind turbine blade is described having a curved stall fence. The stall fence has a curved cross-section along at least a section of the length of the stall fence. The curved section acts to re-route airflow, particularly cross-flow along the longitudinal direction of the blade, to redirect it back in the direction of flow. This construction provides for an improvement over traditionally straight stall fences. Additionally, the stall fences may be shaped to provide an acceleration of airflow past the stall fence in the mean flow direction, by restricting airflow and inducing a Venturi effect at the stall fence.</p> |
