PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for reducing density unevenness generated in an image formed based on image data by modifying a correction value corresponding to a pixel including a specific pattern of correction values to be applied to the image data in order to correct positional deviation of a scanning line in an image processing device.SOLUTION: An image processing device determines whether or not image data that is a target of correction using a correction value (a positional deviation correction amount &Dgr;y) for each pixel includes a specific pattern that may generate density unevenness in an image to be formed, in correcting input image data using &Dgr;ys. An image formation device modifies a &Dgr;y corresponding to a pixel including the specific pattern of the &Dgr;ys by using any of a plurality of predetermined different modulation amounts (modification values), when it is determined that the image data includes the specific pattern. The image processing device corrects the image data for each pixel by using a &Dgr;y before modification or a &Dgr;y after modification when the modification has been performed. |
