<p>A hose fitting (10) that includes a body (14) having a connection portion configured for connection to an external component, a tubular nipple portion (20) configured for insertion into an end of a hose (12), and a union portion (32) joining the nipple portion to the connecting portion. The socket (34) also has a crimp portion (38) extending from the union portion of the socket (36). A swage collar (44) having a tapered inner surface radially inwardly deforms the socket (34) when the swage collar is moved axially over the socket to retain a hose between the socket and the nipple portion (20) of the body.</p> |
