PURPOSE: A system for monitoring a marine environment using a ubiquitous sensor network (USN) and a method thereof are provided to compose the USN based on an automatic sensor using bacterial flagella which do not require external power, thereby measuring a pH, a temperature, a salt concentration change of seawater through the USN. CONSTITUTION: At least one network group (100) senses marine environment information about a specific area using a polymorphic transformation characteristic of bacterial flagella. A gateway (200) delivers sensed marine environment information. A monitoring server (300) monitors a marine environment of the specific area based on the marine environment information. The network group includes multiple sensor nodes and one sink node. The sink node collects the sensed marine environment information.
