<p>The engine has a low-pressure shaft (3) coaxially enclosing a high-pressure shaft (6), and a storage unit supporting a shaft at an engine housing (1). Bearing loads of the high and low pressure shafts are provided upstream and downstream of a fan, respectively, where the bearing loads are positioned in opposite direction and partially compensated. A front thrust bearing unit (10) of the high-pressure shaft is supported at the housing, and a front thrust bearing unit (12) i.e. intermediate-shaft bearing (12'), of the low-pressure shaft is supported at the high-pressure shaft.</p> |
