<p>The apparatus comprises a support assembly and a pin 40, wherein the pin can be held in a position relative to the ground by the support assembly. Preferably the apparatus comprises a base 10, adapted to be located on a ground in use, and a stand 20 adapted to extend upwardly from the base in use, wherein the stand carries an arm 30 and wherein the arm carries a pin having a portion that extends downwardly from the arm in use. The road pin avoids the necessity of having to drive in a road pin which is conventionally used for aligning kerb stones 9 during installation. The pin may be attached to the arm using a mounting 50. The pin may include a spirit level to ensure a plumb vertical pin in use. The pin may extend above and below the arm in use. Also claimed is a method of using the apparatus. Also claimed are apparatus which maintains a pin above ground and an apparatus includes an arm which holds a pin, part of which extends downwardly.</p> |
