PURPOSE: A 3D object detecting device and a method thereof are to improve sensitivity about 3D objects displayed in a 3D space as a cubic UI and not for 3D objects to be overlapped with objects such as hands. CONSTITUTION: A display part (160) includes a second sensing place of which the sensitivity of a nearing touch is below a threshold and a first sensing place of which the sensitivity of the nearing touch is above the threshold in 3D space in which a 3D object is arranged. If the nearing touch is sensed in the second sensing space, a control part (110) moves the 3D object in a certain direction. If the nearing touch is sensed in the first sensing space as it was moved, the control part extracts the coordinate of the 3D object corresponding to the nearing touch and performs a function corresponding to the 3D object.
