PURPOSE: A preliminary molten iron treating process of ultra low phosphorus steel is provided to reduce production costs by making the use of expensive ferrosilicon, which is used as a heat source during a decarburizing converter process, unnecessary. CONSTITUTION: A preliminary molten iron treating process of ultra low phosphorus steel comprises the following steps. Slag in a dephosphorization steel converter which is previously operated is completely removed before molten iron is preliminarily treated, and then quick lime is input into the dephosphorization steel converter (S10). Molten iron is supplied to the dephosphorization steel converter after the quick lime is input (S20). The blowing of the molten iron is charged by blowing oxygen through a lance on the upper part of the dephosphorization steel converter after the molten iron is charged (S30). A silicon generating source is input for tapping the blown molten steel iron when the molten iron is tapped (S40).
