The device (100) has a receiving- or sensor unit for detecting an electromagnetic signal or magnetic field emitted from the electric vehicle. The receiving- or sensor unit is integrated in the device. The device outputs a warning signal when the electric vehicle approaches to the pedestrian. The warning signal is an optical signal, an acoustic signal or a vibration signal. The receiving- or sensor unit comprises a magnetic sensor or a near-field communication antenna. The magnetic sensor is a compass-function sensor. An independent claim is included for a method for reducing an accident risk of pedestrians by approaching electric vehicles. |
