The opener (1) has a frame (2), and a drive unit for driving of a set of letters. A main knife (16) is movable with regard to the frame according to a movement between a minimum position and a maximum cut position. A set of auxiliary knives (17) is movable according to a translation movement with regard to the frame and the main knife. A set of return units (24) is allowed to take support to exert return forces on a pulley interdependent on translation of the main knife. The auxiliary knife is arranged with an edge (17c).
