PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extremely reduce the waste of a coating necessary for a mist coat by eliminating a metal bridge in an earlier stage.SOLUTION: An electrostatic coating device comprises a spray gun, a coating passage, an electric current detection means, a power supply means and a control means. The spray gun has a nozzle, a high-voltage output part and a high-voltage generation part. For detecting an electrical insulation state of a coating in the coating passage by the electric current detection means, the high-voltage output part outputs a first output voltage and a second output voltage higher than the first output voltage and making the coating sprayed from the nozzle charged with electricity by switching the output voltages. The control means switches an output of the power supply means to first setting for outputting the first output voltage from the high-voltage output part, or to second setting for outputting the second output voltage on the basis of a detection result of the electric current detection means. |
