PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a dimming body which has small variation in light transmittance and hardly causes unevenness in change when the light transmittance is changed by applying a voltage.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a dimming body in which an electrolyte layer and an electrochromic layer containing an electrochromic compound are sandwiched between a pair of substrates including a transparent conductive layer. At least one of the substrates is composed of a plastic film substrate. The method comprises the steps of: forming the electrochromic layer containing the electrochromic compound on a surface on which the transparent conductive film of the plastic film substrate is formed; and laminating the electrolyte layer and the other substrate on a surface of the side of the electrochromic layer of the substrate on which the electrochromic layer is formed. |
