The centering element (102) has a combustion-engine side centering portion which is inserted into a first recess (126) of input section (106) of dual-mass flywheel (100). The recess (126) is arranged centrally with respect to rotational axis (112) along which input section and output section (110) of flywheel are rotatable. A gear-box side centering portion is inserted into a second recess (132) of output section arranged centrally with respect to rotational axis. An independent claim is included for torsional vibration damper such as dual-mass flywheel.
