PURPOSE: An ultrasonic welding device is provided to improve the welding strength of a cathode welded surface by using an ultrasonic welding method using a cathode horn having the high density of a pressing surface. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic welding device includes a horn for ultrasonic-welding an electrode lead and an electrode tap and transmitting ultrasonic waves while pressing the electrode lead and the electrode tap via a pressing surface formed on a tip end portion. The density of both sides of the pressing surface formed on the horn is larger than the density of the center of the pressing surface. The horn includes a plurality of contact members transmitting ultrasonic waves to the electrode lead. The number of the contact members on both sides of the horn is larger than the number of the contact members on the center of the horn. [Reference numerals] (110) Ultrasonic oscillator
