A secondary battery is provided to inhibit a distortion of a PTC device caused when an electrode lead formed on a protection circuit board is bent, and prevent a short circuit between a PTC device and an electrode lead, and a protection circuit board. A secondary battery includes a bare cell(100) and a protection circuit board assembly(120). The bare cell is formed by sealing an electrode assembly and an electrolyte accommodated in a pouch(111) and protruding electrode taps(112,113). The protection circuit board assembly includes a protection circuit board(121) on which a protection circuit and an electric device are mounted, a first electrode lead(122) which electrically connects the bare cell to the protection circuit board, a PTC device(123) electrically connected with the protection circuit board, a second electrode lead(124) which electrically connects the bare cell with the PTC device, an insulator(125) which insulates the first and second electrode leads from the protection circuit board, and an adhesive member which glues the PTC device onto the protection circuit board. |
