<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining a nonwoven fabric that makes most characteristics of thermally extensible fiber and has high bulkiness and excellent touch. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a nonwoven fabric includes a first step of blowing hot air by an air-through method on a fiber web containing a thermally extensible fiber to extend its length by heating to extend the thermally extensible fiber to give a nonwoven fabric precursor and a second step of blowing hot air by an air-through method on the nonwoven fabric precursor to further extend the thermally extensible fiber to give a nonwoven fabric. Blowing conditions of hot air in the second step adopted are a lower temperature and a higher air velocity than those of the blowing conditions in the first step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
