<p>A process for making a curved product, a process for making a consolidated curved product, a process for making an antiballistic curved product and products obtainable by said processes. The processes comprise:
a) winding one or more reinforcing elements around a mandrel to provide a wound object, wherein a matrix material is applied to part of the surface area of the one or more reinforcing elements prior to winding; and wherein the matrix material is substantially homogeneously distributed along the surface of the wound object and, optionally, along the thickness of the wound object,
b) fixing at least some of the reinforcing elements to each other by the matrix material to provide a plurality of fixing points in the wound object, and c) removing the wound object from the mandrel to provide at least one curved product.</p> |
