A cord release for a plurality of cords and a rope, comprises two cases 12 14 engaged together to form a shell with a top opening at a top thereof. Cords 10a enter the shell through the top opening. The rope enters through the bottom of the shell; one of the cases has a first bore 12d and a second bore 12e on a bottom thereof, and the other case has a third bore 14d on a bottom thereof. The rope passes through the first bore 12e, the third bore 14d, and the second bore 12d in sequence. The shell may have a guiding slot (17 Fig 4) on its bottom for receiving a section of the tope between the first and third bores, the slot may be curved. The shell may have two blocks (12g 14f Fig 11) on its bottom on opposite sides of the second bore. A section (10c) of the rope 10b between the first bore and the third bore crosses over the blocks so that the rope 10b may pass through the second bore more easily. |
