An LED driver arrangement capable of controlling the colour or colour temperature of the light output by an LED array 3 comprises a dimmer 1 including a potentiometer and a power switch. The colour or colour temperature of the light output by the LED array may be adjusted by a sequence of on/off actuations of the power switch while the brightness of the LED array may be controlled by the position of the dimmer potentiometer. Means 5, 6, 7 for differentiating between operation of the dimmer potentiometer and actuation of the power switch are provided to allow a single user control device to control both brightness and colour or colour temperature without interference between the two control signals. An LED condition memory 8 is provided to retain the colour or colour temperature setting while the LED array is switched off.
