PURPOSE: A forward osmosis membrane for desalinating seawater and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent the reversely diffusion of an inducting solution toward a reverse osmosis direction. CONSTITUTION: A forward osmosis membrane for desalinating seawater is composed of a hydrophilic polymer layer and a polyamide layer. The hydrophilic polymer is one or a mixture selected from a group including polyacyrlonitrile, polyacrylate, poly(methyl methacrylate), poly(ethylene imide), cellulose acetate, cellulose triacetate, poly(vinyl alcohol), poly(vinyl pyrrolidone), poly(ethylene glycol), sulfonated polysulfone, poly(ethylene oxide), and poly(vinyl acetate). The hydrophilic polymer layer and the polyamide layer stacked to form the forward osmosis membrane. |
