PURPOSE: An instantaneous output voltage control device of an auxiliary power device for a railroad car improves the response characteristics for a sudden change in a load and input power by a control method using each instantaneous value of three-phase voltages. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary power device for a railroad car includes an inverter and an inverter control unit. The inverter control unit generates a switching control signal controlling the switching operation of switch devices composing the inverter by receiving the feedback of three-phase AC output voltages (Vas,Vbs,Vcs) outputted from the inverter and using each instantaneous value of the three-phase AC output voltages. The switching control signal is outputted to control terminals of the switching elements and controls the output of the inverter. The inverter control unit includes a first phase converter (10), a phase detector (20), an AC-DC converter (30), a second phase DC control voltage generator (40), a DC-AC converter (60), a second phase converter (70), and a pulse width modulator (80).
