PURPOSE: A lithium manganese oxide positive active material for a lithium ion secondary battery improves the energy density and the output performance per unit volume of a lithium ion secondary battery. CONSTITUTION: A lithium manganese oxide positive active material for a lithium ion secondary battery is mixed of three or more spinel type lithium manganese oxide particles with different sizes from each other. The average particle diameter of the first particle is 5 μm or more. The average particle diameter of the second particle is 1 μm or less. The average particle diameter of the third particle is 200 nm or less. The average particle diameter of the second particle is larger than that of the third particle. The number of the first particles/the number of the second particles and the number of the second particles/the number of the third particle are 1-4. |
