ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY HAVING NOVEL LEAD-TAP JOINT STRUCTURE AND ELECTROCHEMICAL CELL CONTAINING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An electrode assembly improves the coupling force by steadily coupling electrode tab-electrode lead corresponding to each other. CONSTITUTION: An electrode assembly consists of a positive electrode/separator/negative electrode structure. An electrode tab (40) on which active material is not spread is projected from one end part. Each electrode tab is coupled to one electrode lead and forms an electrode-electrode tab coupling part. At least parts of two or more electrode tabs are directly coupled to an electrode lead (60). The 1/10 of the whole length of the electrode tab is directly coupled to the electrode lead, based on the width of one side of the electrode tab.
