PURPOSE: A device and method for controlling the defrosting of a home bar for a refrigerator are provided to efficiently perform defrosting by accurately confirming the dew condensation on a home bar based on the temperature and humidity of the home bar. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling the defrosting of a home bar for a refrigerator comprises an indoor temperature sensing unit (11), an outdoor temperature sensing unit (12), an outdoor humidity sensing unit (13), and a heater temperature sensing unit (14). The indoor temperature sensing unit measures the indoor temperature of a refrigerator. The outdoor temperature and humidity sensing units measure the outdoor temperature and humidity. The heater temperature sensing unit measures the surrounding temperatures of a home bar heater.
