PURPOSE: A vault and an operation method thereof are provided to prevent robberies by moving a unit vault to the inside when impact applied to a vault door is determined as trespassing. CONSTITUTION: A vault(100) comprises a vault door, a control unit(130), and a vault body(140). A sensor(111) formed on the vault door senses an impact signal. The impact signal is compared with a standard value. When the intensity of the impact signal is over the standard value, the vault door is moved to the inside which is the rear of a wall.
