METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONFIGURING CLOUD CELL IN A RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for configuring a cloud cell in a wireless communication system and an apparatus thereof are provided to configure a cloud cell for serving uplink and a cloud cell for serving downlink of the same terminal differently. CONSTITUTION: A control unit (920) instructs channel measurement to a terminal and adjacent base stations. The control unit collects measurement result from the terminal and the adjacent base stations. The control unit determines an uplink cloud cell configuration base station and a downlink cloud cell configuration base station on the ground of the measurement result. The uplink cloud cell configuration base station and the downlink cloud cell configuration base station are determined differently. When the terminal enters the network, a main base station recognizes itself as a main base station.
