PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which efficiently utilizes external light.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel 2, a diffusing plate 3 disposed at the rear of the liquid crystal panel 2, a light guide member 4 disposed at the rear of the diffusing plate 3, and an enclosure supporting the liquid crystal panel 2, the diffusing plate 3, and the light guide member 4. The enclosure has an opening in its rear portion, and the light guide member 4 is disposed so as to cover the opening and includes prisms 7 each of which has an incident surface 8 on which external light from above impinges, and a first slope 9 which is disposed below the incident surface 8 to reflect light impinging from the incident surface 8 and on which external light from back impinges. |
