PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple-structred and lightweight joint motion assistance device with a novel structure, allowing a user to easily attach/detach, and capable of safely supporting a walking state of the user without preventing the user's spontaneous movement for preventing overturning even when disturbance such as external force in the lateral direction is applied to the user.SOLUTION: A walking motion assistance device 10 includes: a pair of right and left assist members with drive sources 40 for applying tensile force to a flexible assisting force transmission part 12; and a control means 49 for driving and controlling each drive source 40 in each assist member in response to change of a joint angle in a hip joint of a user.
