PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel-saving driving system constructing a road gradient information database concerning an upslope during traveling of the upslope and making advice and vehicle control for allowing fuel-saving traveling when traveling the upslope.SOLUTION: A fuel-saving driving system: acquires position information of an own vehicle by using a GPS sensor (S22); determines whether or not an estimated time to arrive at an upslope from a present position is within a predetermined time Tb (S23); when the determination result allows the own vehicle to arrive at the upslope within the predetermined time Tb, determines whether or not a shift position of a storage device is identical with a present shift position (S24); when the shift positions are identical, advises to travel with the present shift position (S25); when the present position is different, determines whether or not the present shift position is a high speed stage (S26); and when the present shift position is the higher speed stage than the shift position of the storage device, warns a driver in such a way that the vehicle speed should be reduced at the upslope (S27). |
