<p>Provided are a communication system, local area base station device, mobile communication terminal and communication method, which can provide highly efficient local-area wireless access. A communication system in which a mobile communication terminal communicates wirelessly, using a first carrier, with a wide area base station device which covers a wide area, and communicates wirelessly, using a second carrier, with a local area base station which covers a local area. The wide area base station device assigns different frequencies for uplink and downlink on the first carrier in communicating with the mobile communication terminal, and the local area base station device dynamically switches between uplink and downlink for each unit of time in the second carrier, on the basis of the communication environment in communicating with the mobile communication terminal.</p> |
